President Donald Trump is expected to release his tax returns as early as Tuesday, the White House said Tuesday.
The president’s top tax adviser, Gary Cohn, said he would be releasing the returns after Trump’s full medical history and his “full and complete financial disclosure” from the Federal Election Commission.
Trump’s tax returns have been a central issue in the ongoing probe into possible obstruction of justice related to the firing of FBI Director James Comey by the president.
Cohn has said the president would release his returns after they are completed and the FBI determines whether there was obstruction of Justice.
